After fourteen years as friends, Travis and Bree decided they make an even better couple, and after three short months of dating, Travis knew Bree was the one he wanted to spend the rest of his life with and on this sunny spring day in April they tied the knot! When you speak to them you can see their love radiate from a rock-solid base of true friendship.
As a DJ, I’ve had the pleasure of performing at many weddings, but Travis and Bree’s country wedding at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur, CO was something truly special. Also residents of Castle Rock, and intrigued by their love story, we were excited to go the extra mile to make their day special.
CROOKED WILLOW FARMS, PLANNER, & PHOTOGRAPHER
The venue itself was absolutely stunning. Crooked Willow Farms is a beautiful and rustic location that perfectly captured the country feel that Travis and Bree were going for. They decided last minute to include uplighting which helped bring the space to life during dancing, while creating a warm and inviting atmosphere during dinner.
On their wedding day, we had the opportunity to work alongside some of the best vendors in the wedding industry. Brandi and Angel at Cheers Wedding Planning helped the couple coordinate a beautiful wedding that went exactly as planned, while Chelsea, the owner and photographer of Snowy Skye Photography captured all the memories seen here that Travis and Bree will cherish forever.
DANCING THE NIGHT AWAY!
Of course, no wedding would be complete without some great music. Having attended weddings in the past with subpar entertainment, they highly valued having an emcee and DJ to keep people engaged and dancing all night long. They requested a lot of country music, which was perfect for the setting, and we were more than happy to oblige. From classic country tunes, to contemporary hits, we had the dance floor packed all night long.
BREE MADE HER OWN WEDDING CAKE!
One of the most unique aspects of this wedding was the bride’s homemade four-layer wedding cake. Bree had put so much love and care into creating the cake herself, and it was absolutely delicious! It was a beautiful and personal touch that made the day even more special.
PRIVATE LAST DANCE
The most intimate moment of the night came during Travis and Bree’s private last dance in Lola’s Loft. With its beautiful candle wall, the loft was the perfect setting for the couple to share a quiet moment together and reflect on their special day. Meanwhile, the rest of us were setting up for the LED baton grand exit that was to come.
LED BATON GRAND EXIT
We supplied LED batons that evening to hype up the party and create an awesome photo op at the end of the night. While they were sharing their private last dance together, we gathered everyone in the courtyard for a LED baton grand exit. As Travis and Bree made their way out of the reception hall, their guests waved the batons in the air, creating a dazzling display of light that made for some epic pictures!
All in all, Travis and Bree’s country wedding at Crooked Willow Farms was a beautiful and unforgettable event. It was truly an honor to be a part of it, and I am so grateful they trusted us to make their day as special as it was.
